RA-11/RA-12 V02 DriverWorks 2-Way Serial Driver
Driver written by the B&W Group.
SERIAL PROTOCOL:
3 wire RS-232C protocol
115200 baud, 8 data bits, 1 stop bits, no parity, no flow control
Uses a straight through type DB9 serial cable.
Notes: This driver written using the ASCII based serial protocol that was added with the V02 version of these models. Original RA-11/RA-12 models that do not include the rear panel DB9 Serial Port are not compatible with this driver.
The RED button has been programmed for Shuffle mode. The GREEN button is programmed for Repeat.
A NOTE ABOUT POWER CONTROL:
This driver does not use the ON or OFF commands. The CONNECT_OUTPUT and DISCONNECT_OUTPUT codes are used to power the unit on and off. These commands are sent to the device from the Control4 system when you select a source, or turn the room off. So if testing the driver from the emulator within Composer, it is intended that the unit does not respond to the ON or OFF buttons here. If power control is needed outside of the normal flow of source selection or room on/off, use the provided POWER_ON and POWER_OFF driver-specific commands.
SET BALANCE CONTROL RANGES:
01-49 - Shift balance left, with 01 being max left and 49 being closest to centered.
50 - Centered (no balance adjustment).
51-100 - Shift balance right, with 51 being closest to center and 100 being max right.
TECHNICAL SUPPORT:
For support with this driver, you may contact The B&W Group at techsupport@bwgroupusa.com.
AC POWER NOTE:
Note that this product is designed to power up fully upon receiving AC power, so in the event of a power outage the unit would power on once AC power has been restored. With this in mind, it is recommended to set the POWER ON MAX VOLUME setting in the setup menu to a low or MIN setting to ensure if the system does power on as a result of a power interruption that it does not turn on at a high volume.
Updated 8/11/2014
- Fixed a bug that prevented internet radio streams from the Control4 controller to work properly when connected to the receiver
Updated 12/22/2016
- Added POWER_ON and POWER_OFF driver-specific commands to allow access to power control commands via Programming.
