In rare cases a situation may arise in which a disc may become stuck in the slot loading CD mechanism. The following procedure can be used to manually extract a disc from the mechanism in this case.

1. Remove the top cover of the unit and locate the small white eject gear located on the rear left side of the CD mechanism.
2. Use a small Phillips head screwdriver to turn the gear counterclockwise until the disc is ejected. The back of the mechanism near the screw is labeled showing the direction the gear should turn in order to eject.
