The 12 Volt triggers are not working.
To use the 12 volt trigger on the RSX-1055 or RSX-1065 requires a 3.5mm Mono to Mono cable, which is not included with the unit but can be purchased from any local electronics supply store, such as Radio Shack. The 12V trigger current output of the RSX 1055 is enough to trigger one 200mA device, or two lower current devices such as other Rotel components. Some other manufacturer’s components do require more current than this to use their triggers, however. In such cases, using a Xantech AC-1 12V Trigger to switched AC outlet may be useful. If the 12V triggers turn on the components but do not turn off, this often means the second zone is activated. If either zone is active, the 12V triggers will remain on.

The display just says "Starting..." and never changes.
The unit requires a solid connection to the internet to start up any inputs besides the CD player and Aux inputs. If the screen says "Starting..." for more than a minute or two, please confirm that a USB dongle, either the supplied Wireless or Wired version, is plugged into the USB input on the back panel of the unit.
Please do be aware the RJ45 socket on the back panel of the unit is not an Ethernet connection, this is used for serial control only, so make sure to use the supplied USB dongle for the internet connection. The display just says "Wireless Driver Error" and never changes.
If this message appears then power off the unit, unplug the wireless dongle and plug it back in, then power the unit back on. If the message reappears it may mean there is a fault with the wireless dongle so please contact your dealer for assistance.

The DVD player is on and there is video, but no sound.
For Dolby Digital and dts decoding, the DVD player should be connected to the RSX 1065 via either a coaxial digital or optical cable to one of the 5 digital inputs on the RSX 1065. After physically connecting the cable, the digital input also needs to be assigned to a particular input on the receiver. In this case, the digital input must be assigned to the input the DVD player’s video is connected to. To do this, access the OSD and select the INPUT SETUP menu from the Main Menu. There, the INPUT can be changed from Analog to the appropriate digital input.

The Dynamic Range option on the OSD cannot be accessed to change its settings.
Dynamic Range is a feature that is only available for Dolby Digital soundtracks. As such, this setting cannot be accessed or modified unless the unit is in Dolby Digital mode.

The front display of my RLC-1080 displays "Inverter Overload".
An “Inverter Overload” error message is usually caused by a dead battery in the RLC-1080. To test this, power off the RLC-1080, then disconnect the internal battery and power on the unit back on. It should note there is no battery but will work normally otherwise. If this is the case, you need only replace the battery in the unit to resolve this.
Replacement batteries are available from a wide range of suppliers. The battery is an APC brand SKU# RBC63. A search of this SKU should yeild many options to order.

The front panel display of the CD player shows “OVER”
The track display of this CD player can display up to 16 tracks. The OVER display on the front panel of the CD player will appear when discs with more than 16 tracks are loaded into the unit to indicate there are more tracks than are being displayed.

The Internet radio station has stopped playing and the device appears to be "locked up".
Should the Rotel unit lose its internet connection it will automatically try to re-connect but there may be exceptional circumstances when it will be necessary to re-boot the product. To make a complete clean re-boot disconnect the product from the AC and plug it back in again.
