Warum unterstützt Rotel kein THX?
Bei seiner Einführung veröffentlichte THX eine Reihe strenger Standards, die dabei geholfen haben, im Kino einen besseren Ton zu erreichen. Hersteller, die dieses Logo auf ihrem Produkt haben wollten, mussten die Geräte THX zur Prüfung und Zertifizierung vorlegen. Unterdessen haben sich die Besitzverhältnisse geändert und die Standards umfassen verschiedene Leistungsstufen. Das seinerzeitige Symbol für eine „gute Praxis“ bei Heimkino-Komponenten hat heute diesen Status verloren und viele Hersteller, so auch Rotel, glauben nicht, dass es die zusätzlichen Lizenzierungskosten Wert ist.
Why does the Network Wakeup option no longer appear in the Rotel menu?
The Network Wakeup option was a feature that kept the network circuits active while the rest of the unit was in Standby mode so the device could be powered on over a network connection using IP control.
Recent power regulations mandate that while in Standby mode a product can draw no more than 3W of power and will further lower the maximum allowed draw to 2W in 2019.
As a result of these new regulations, it is regrettably no longer possible to retain power to the network circuitry while in standby mode as this would draw above the maximum allowed power. The Network Wakeup option has been removed from the setup menu for units sold in the UK and EU markets.

Why does the Quick Power Mode option no longer appear in the Rotel menu?
The Quick Power mode option was a feature that kept the network circuits active while the rest of the unit was in Standby mode so the device could be powered on over a network connection using IP control.
Recent power regulations mandate that while in Standby mode a product can draw no more than 3W of power and will further lower the maximum allowed draw to 2W in 2019.
As a result of these new regulations, it is regrettably no longer possible to retain power to the network circuitry whilst in standby mode as this would draw above the maximum allowed power. The Power Mode option has been removed from the setup menu for units sold in the UK and EU markets.

Why does the unit power off when listening to an analog input?
Several Rotel models feature an Auto Power Down Timer option that will allow the unit to power off automatically after a specified period of time with no signal or activity.
In certain Stereo models, the sleep timer circuitry cannot detect analog signals and so it reacts as if the unit is not in use and shuts down after the timer expires.
The default power off setting is 20 minutes of inactivity for products sold in the UK and EU markets - this setting is based on a recent EU requirement to reduce power consumption. All other regions default the power off timer to Disabled.
In either case above, the timer setting can be easily set or disabled via the Setup menu for the unit. We would recommend disabling this feature if you intend to use the device with analog sources such as Turntable or a Tuner.

Warum lassen sich mit der RR-969 die Quellen an meinem Rotel-Gerät nicht umschalten?
Die oberen beiden Tastenreihen der Fernbedienung RR-969 diene nicht zur Quellenumschaltung bei einem Rotel-Gerät, sondern dazu, die verschiedenen Geräte in Ihrer Anlage auszuwählen, für deren Steuerung Ihre RR-969 programmiert ist.
Zur Quellenumschaltung muss zuerst die Taste AUD in der obersten Reihe der RR-969 gedrückt werden. Öffnen Sie die Schiebeabdeckung der Fernbedienung. Mit den ersten beiden Tastenreihen unter der Abdeckung können Sie zwischen den verschiedenen Eingängen Ihres Rotel-Geräts umschalten.

Warum ändert sich der Name der Quelle rechts im Frontdisplay nicht, wenn der Eingang umgeschaltet wird?
Die Quelle auf der rechten Seite des Frontdisplays ist die Quelle, die zur Aufnahme verwendet wird. Bei diesen Modellen kann gleichzeitig eine Quelle gehört und eine andere Quelle über einen der Aufnahmeausgänge (Tape Out, Video 1-3 Out) aufgenommen werden. Die Aufnahmequelle kann umgeschaltet werden, indem Sie entweder die Taste REC auf der Frontplatte und anschließend die Taste der gewünschten Quelle drücken oder die Taste ZONE oder REC auf der mitgelieferten Fernbedienung.

Warum gibt es für das 12-V-Steuersignal sowohl einen Eingang als auch einen Ausgang?
Dies ist eine praktische Einrichtung, wenn die Anlage mehr Komponenten enthält, die über 12 V gesteuert werden, als am Vorverstärker 12-V-Steuerausgänge vorhanden sind. Der 12-V-Steuerausgang des Verstärkers ermöglicht es, das 12-V-Steuersignal vom Verstärker zu weiteren Komponenten durchzuschleifen.

Warum skaliert mein DVD-Player RDV-1092 oder RDV-1093 Komponenten-Video nicht auf 1080p?
Komponenten-Video unterstützt eine maximale Auflösung von 1080i. Um ein 1080p-Videosignal anzuzeigen ist ein HDMI-Anschluss erforderlich. Außerdem sind viele Filme auf DVD kopiergeschützt, wobei die maximal zulässige analoge Videoauflösung bei kopiergeschützten Medien auf 480p beschränkt ist, wenn keine HDMI-Verbindung verwendet wird.
