When I start some DVD movies on the RDV-1092 or RDV-1093, I can hear the sound but the picture goes blank.
If your Rotel DVD player is connected via component video, the output resolution must be set to either 480i (Interlaced) or 480p (Progressive). While the DVD player can output up to 1080i via component video, many DVDs contain a Macrovision copy protection "flag" that will disable the video output of the player at any resolution higher than 480p. If you wish to view DVDs at higher resolutions than 480p, an HDMI connection must be used.

When listening to streaming content, the display will says "Buffering..." and the audio drops out.
This can occur when the radio loses the stream from the internet radio station. This is a condition of the internet signal and the strength of the radio stations stream, and not something wrong the radio. Some stations will buffer more than others and this condition will vary depending upon the load on the internet stream.

When turned on by the power switch, the RSX-1055 or RSX-1065 remains in standby.
The RSX-1055 and RSX-1065 have several different Power options, one of which includes a mode to default the unit to Standby when it first receives AC power. This mode is helpful in situations where power outages can otherwise cause the receiver to turn on when power is restored. The receiver can still be turned on & off via the remote control. To change this back to its default power setting, access the OTHER OPTIONS selection of the Main Menu on the OSD. Change the POWER selection from STANDBY to DIRECT to set it back to default.

When using the internal signal link, can the C channel amplifiers be linked to the B channel input?
On most Rotel amplifiers this is not possible – all input linking should link to the A channel inputs – for example, if the system requires one channel to be separate while the other pairs are linked, the D channel should be set up as the independent channel, while A, B and C are linked.
The exception to this rule is the RKB-850/8100/D850/D8100 V02 amplifiers. On these models input linking has been improved so that if a channel is set to "Link", it will link to the previous channel input. So for example setting channel C to link mode will now link to channel B and so on. With this design you could now link channels A+B as one common source, and link channels C+D as another, for example.

When watching a surround movie, the mode is displaying Dolby Pro Logic II, not Dolby Digital or dts
The most likely reason that the surround processor or receiver is displaying Pro Logic II instead of Dolby Digital or dts is that the signal it is receiving is a stereo (2 channel) signal instead of the 5.1/7.1 Dolby or dts bitstream audio.
This can often be caused by one of two things – either the source device (i.e. the Blu-Ray or Cable box for example) is connected to the processor via only analog connections, or the source’s digital output has not been configured properly. If there is only analog connections to the processor, an digital optical, coaxial or HDMI connection must be added and assigned in order to decode Dolby Digital and dts soundtracks. If there is already a digital connection set up but the unit will not decode Dolby Digital or dts, most likely the digital output of the source player has not been set up to output these formats, or the source material is not encoded in Dolby Digital or dts 5.1. Please refer to your source’s owner’s manual to determine how to configure the digital output to stream Dolby Digital and dts.

Which outlets can be triggered on the RLC-1040 and RLC-1080?
The two outlets marked "Delayed" can be switched on and off via the 12V DC trigger input if a mini cable is plugged into the DC trigger input of the product.

Why are there four binding posts on each amplifier channel output?
Some Rotel amplifiers are designed with 4 sets of binding posts to facilitate bi-wiring your loudspeakers. Both sets of binding posts are connected in parallel so if only one pair of posts is used it does not matter which posts are connected.

Why can't I access SiriusXM stations on my Rotel Internet Radio?
Effective October 1, 2015, SiriusXM stopped supporting version 1.0 of their internet streaming protocol. This is the protocol Rotel internet radio tuners utilized for streaming SiriusXM services. Due to the protocol change by SiriusXM, Rotel internet radio tuners will no longer be able to receive and play these stations. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Why can't I get any audio from zone 2/3/4?
The zone outputs are only available when an analog input is being used. If you currently have only a digital cable connected from a source, a separate stereo analog cable should be connected to the same input to allow the source to be heard in the remote zones.
