The flashing Progressive LED indicates the DVD that is being viewed in Progressive scan mode has been filmed from a video source, as opposed to a film source. This is specific to certain DVD titles that are filmed in this manner. It is recommended for these titles to be correctly viewed in progressive scan mode that the Progressive Mode setting on the Preference 2 screen of the RDV-1080’s On Screen Menu be changed to the SMART setting.
