Suporte Rotel
Estamos aqui para ajudá-lo com qualquer dúvida que possa ter sobre seus produtos e dispositivos Rotel, ou podemos oferecer uma visão sobre o mundo do som e da qualidade do som.
Which output should be used will matter mostly on the quality of the DACs (Digital-to-Analog-Converters) and the analog signal path in the preamplifier or processor that the Rotel CD player is being connected to. Rotel CD players utilize high quality Burr-Brown or Wolfson DACs coupled with a minimalist circuit design for the analog stage, carefully selecting quality capacitors and rectifiers and providing a solid power supply to provide the best sound quality possible from our CD players, and in many cases the DACs in the CD player will clearly exceed the sound quality of the onboard DACs from many processors. In these cases, the analog outputs of the CD player would be the best logical choice. However, in some cases you may find in a high quality processor or outboard DAC that the DACs used may sound better than the CD players internal DACs, which would mean using the coaxial digital output.
If possible, connect both to your system and compare the two outputs to determine which sounds best in your system.
The debate rages on. Toslink fans claim said cable is more accurate because it relies on light transmission, which has less resistance and is usually more affordable. Coax supporters argue their cable is better protected with its thicker jacket and offers a tighter connection. Interestingly, high quality RCA video interconnects have been substituted for digital coaxial with similar results since video interconnects fit the same specifications used for digital audio. However, do not use a standard RCA audio cable in place of a digital coaxial cable. In the end, your ears are the final judge over which way to go.
To gain the full benefits of DVD-Audio media, the analog connections of the DVD player must be used, and when connecting to a Rotel Surround Processor or Receiver it is recommended that the analog outputs be connected to the 6 Channel Multi Input, as this input is a pure analog input that will not digitally process the high resolution DVD-Audio signal. These players will also internally decode Dolby Digital, dts and PCM (Stereo) digital audio signals as well for DVD and CD playback and as such the analog connection is the only required connection for playback of all formats. A digital cable can also be connected to the processor or receiver for convenience purposes to allow Dolby Digital and dts processing to be handled in the processor without requiring the manual selection of the Multi Input for DVD Video playback.
A digital cable should be connected to the surround processor or receiver to allow Dolby Digital and dts decoding to be handled in the processor for multichannel playback. The analog audio connections can also be used for stereo playback, for example for CD audio or in a stereo home system.
This is normal - you will find that the product re-acquires your network before being able to select the station that you want, which can take several seconds.
To use the 12 volt triggers on this model requires a 3.5mm Mono to Mono cable, which is not included with the unit but can be purchased from most electronics stores or online.
The 12V trigger current output of the unit is 15mA. Some other manufacturer’s components do require more current than this to use their triggers, however. In such cases, using a Xantech AC-1 12V Trigger to switched AC outlet may be useful.
To use the 12 volt trigger on the RSX-1055 or RSX-1065 requires a 3.5mm Mono to Mono cable, which is not included with the unit but can be purchased from any local electronics supply store, such as Radio Shack. The 12V trigger current output of the RSX 1055 is enough to trigger one 200mA device, or two lower current devices such as other Rotel components. Some other manufacturer’s components do require more current than this to use their triggers, however. In such cases, using a Xantech AC-1 12V Trigger to switched AC outlet may be useful. If the 12V triggers turn on the components but do not turn off, this often means the second zone is activated. If either zone is active, the 12V triggers will remain on.
The unit requires a solid connection to the internet to start up any inputs besides the CD player and Aux inputs. If the screen says "Starting..." for more than a minute or two, please confirm that a USB dongle, either the supplied Wireless or Wired version, is plugged into the USB input on the back panel of the unit.
Please do be aware the RJ45 socket on the back panel of the unit is not an Ethernet connection, this is used for serial control only, so make sure to use the supplied USB dongle for the internet connection. If you are not sure how to connect to your LAN please refer to our Step-by-Step guides available on www.rotelradio.com.
If this message appears then power off the unit, unplug the wireless dongle and plug it back in, then power the unit back on. If the message reappears it may mean there is a fault with the wireless dongle so please contact your dealer for assistance.
