I cannot get the amplifier redirect setting to work on my Rotel surround receiver.
I cannot get the amplifier redirect setting to work on my Rotel surround receiver.
An important step in order for the amplifier redirect feature to be enabled on your Rotel receiver is the receiver must be reset via the FACTORY DEFAULT option immediately after changing the redirect setting. If you leave the menu before performing this default the amplifier redirect setting is not changed.
Please see below for step-by-step details on how to redirect your receivers amplifier channels for either Center Back, Zone 2 or Biamp configurations (not all options apply to every model).
Please note that FACTORY DEFAULT will erase all previously programmed settings so make note of them prior to making this change so you can reprogram them after the reset.
- With the video monitor and receiver turned on, press the Menu/OSD or Setup key on the Rotel remote control to display SYSTEM STATUS.
- From SYSTEM STATUS, press the ENT key on the remote to access the MAIN MENU, then select the DEFAULT menu option.
- Change the REDIRECT setting from No to the desired setting.
- Without leaving the DEFAULT menu, scroll down to FACTORY DEFAULT and set this to YES.
- Press the ENT key to engage the factory default. There may be a confirmation screen to confirm the default, which will finalize the redirect setting. The unit will power off briefly, and then return to Standby mode in the new factory default configuration including redirected center back channel(s).
