Perché Roten non supporta THX?
Quando è stato introdotto per la prima volta, THX ha rilasciato una serie di standard molto rigidi per contribuire a promuovere un audio theater migliore. I produttori che volevano apporre questo logo ai propri prodotti dovevano sottostare a procedure di prova e di certificazione da parte di THX. Attualmente, l’assetto proprietario è cambiato e gli standard si sono evoluti, prevedendo livelli prestazionali diversi. Anche se all’inizio si trattava di un marchio “positivo” per i componenti theater, oggi non ha più lo stesso valore e molti produttori, Rotel compreso, sono convinti che non possa aggiungere valore al propri prodotti, se non i costi aggiuntivi di licenza.
Why does the Network Wakeup option no longer appear in the Rotel menu?
The Network Wakeup option was a feature that kept the network circuits active while the rest of the unit was in Standby mode so the device could be powered on over a network connection using IP control.
Recent power regulations mandate that while in Standby mode a product can draw no more than 3W of power and will further lower the maximum allowed draw to 2W in 2019.
As a result of these new regulations, it is regrettably no longer possible to retain power to the network circuitry while in standby mode as this would draw above the maximum allowed power. The Network Wakeup option has been removed from the setup menu for units sold in the UK and EU markets.

Why does the Quick Power Mode option no longer appear in the Rotel menu?

Recent power regulations mandate that while in Standby mode a product can draw no more than 3W of power and will further lower the maximum allowed draw to 2W in 2019.
As a result of these new regulations, it is regrettably no longer possible to retain power to the network circuitry whilst in standby mode as this would draw above the maximum allowed power. The Power Mode option has been removed from the setup menu for units sold in the UK and EU markets.

Why does the unit power off when listening to an analog input?
Several Rotel models feature an Auto Power Down Timer option that will allow the unit to power off automatically after a specified period of time with no signal or activity.
In certain Stereo models, the sleep timer circuitry cannot detect analog signals and so it reacts as if the unit is not in use and shuts down after the timer expires.
The default power off setting is 20 minutes of inactivity for products sold in the UK and EU markets - this setting is based on a recent EU requirement to reduce power consumption. All other regions default the power off timer to Disabled.
In either case above, the timer setting can be easily set or disabled via the Setup menu for the unit. We would recommend disabling this feature if you intend to use the device with analog sources such as Turntable or a Tuner.

Perché il telecomando RR-969 non cambia le sorgenti sulla mia unità Rotel?
Le prime due file di pulsanti del telecomando RR-969 non sono destinate a modificare le sorgenti di un dispositivo Rotel, ma a selezionare i vari dispositivi del sistema programmati per essere controllati dal telecomando RR-969.
Per passare da una sorgente all’altra accertarsi, innanzitutto, di aver selezionato il pulsante AUD del dispositivo, situato sulla prima fila di pulsanti di RR-969. Quindi fare scorrere verso il basso la copertura del telecomando: le prime due file di pulsanti sotto la copertura consentiranno di passare da un ingresso all’altro del dispositivo Rotel.

Perché il nome della sorgente della parte destra del visore frontale non cambia quando si cambia l’ingresso?
La sorgente sulla destra del visore frontale corrisponde alla sorgente Record. Questi modelli consentono la registrazione simultanea di una sorgente mentre si sta ascoltando un’altra sorgente utilizzando una qualsiasi delle uscite di registrazione disponibili (Tape Out, Video 1-3 Out). La sorgente di registrazione potrà essere cambiata premendo il pulsante REC del pannello frontale, seguito dalla sorgente desiderata, oppure premendo i pulsanti ZONE o REC del telecomando fornito.

Perché c’è un collegamento sia per l’ingresso, sia per l’uscita dell’attivatore a 12 V?
È una questione di comodità quando il sistema è composto da un numero di componenti che utilizzano una connessione di attivazione a 12 V superiore rispetto alle uscite dell’attivatore a 12 V del preamplificatore. L’uscita dell’attivatore a 12 V sull’amplificatore consente al segnale di attivazione a 12 V di essere concatenato a margherita dall’amplificatore a un altro componente.

Perché il lettore DVD della mia unità RDV-1092 o RDV-1093 non trasforma il video Component a 1080p?
I video Component possono gestire una risoluzione massima di 1080i. Per visualizzare un segnale video a 1080p è necessaria una connessione HDMI. Inoltre, molti film DVD sono protetti contro la copia e questo limita la risoluzione video analogica a un massimo di 480p per i dischi protetti contro la copia, indipendentemente dalla presenza di una connessione HDMI.
